Welcome to Geode!

Geode is about to make the fun sport of geocaching even easier! By harnessing the mobile connectivity and built-in GPS features of the iPhone 3G, Geode will add a new level to geocaching never seen before. Brought to from the factory floor of No Name Industries, the features of Geode include:

Availability

Geode is currently in production and will be available exclusively in the iPhone's app store. Keep checking back with No Name Industries for updates and release info!

Live Mapping and Tracking

Set a particular cache as your target and use the maps interface to plot your position in relation to the target. Pan and zoom around the map using simple gestures and watch as it rotates to match your compass heading.
Maps will be cached locally to help find those caches out of range of cell phone towers

Compass and navigator tool

Use the compass in the mode of your choice – whether it be “Arrow points north”, “Heading points north”, or “Tracking arrow”
The compass will automatically plot the current position of the sun based on the time of day and your position

Geode features an innovative Dashboard

Rotate the phone at any time for a dashboard display of the compass, nearby caches, and your current target. Watch location and heading information update in real time.

An easy-to-use geocache navigator

Synchronize a folder of GPX and LOC files wirelessly with your Mac or PC
Manually enter caches directly on the device using either decimal degrees or degrees minutes seconds
View and search a list of favorite caches, synchronized caches, and manually entered caches – sorted by their distance from your current location.
View cache details, including size, difficulty, terrain, description, hints, logs and inventory
Launch a web browser to view the cache details on the original website, or browse around and find other caches to enter manually
Take photos associated with a particular cache, enter notes and have them synchronized wirelessly the next time you are at your Mac or PC.
